Patchwork for Beginners

Join us on Saturday, February 17th from Noon to 4:00 PM and learn to create three of quilting's most basic blocks: Nine Patch, Churn Dash and Rail Fence. Seasoned quilter and sewist, Anna Helms, will guide you through all the steps in creating these blocks with precision, as well as provide tips in fabric choices. Participants will need a half-yard of three different fabrics to create the three blocks designed as shown. However, feel free to bring your own mix of fat quarters or half yard pieces to learn these blocks. Make four blocks of your choice to complete a table runner, or make even more on your own time to complete a full size quilt!! Supplies needed besides fabric are: Sewing machine, rotary cutter, snips/scissors and thread. All other items--cutting table, rulers, iron & ironing board--will be provided.
